Mongolian Cashmere. Exceptional Softness.

 

 

For our BAZILIKA collections, we use long-fibre Mongolian cashmere. The fabric was developed exclusively for our brand, with particular attention to its softness, density, and tactile qualities.

 

Lightweight and exceptionally gentle against the skin, our cashmere offers natural warmth and comfort. Its long fibres provide strength and greater resistance to pilling, helping garments maintain their original appearance with proper care.

 

The Unique Qualities of Our Cashmere

Our cashmere feels exceptionally soft against the skin. It is gentle, non-itchy, and creates a sensation of almost weightless warmth.

During the initial period of wear, the fabric may release a small amount of surface fluff. This is associated with the fine, long fibres and the exceptionally soft texture of the yarn.

This natural shedding gradually diminishes with wear. If necessary, we recommend gently removing any loose fibres from clothing with a soft lint roller.

This characteristic does not affect the quality of the garment and requires no special treatment.

 

How Cashmere Changes Over Time

Cashmere is a natural material whose texture may subtly evolve with care.

After gentle hand washing, the surface becomes fluffier, giving the fabric a softer, more voluminous appearance.

If you prefer to preserve the garment's original, smoother texture, we recommend professional dry cleaning.

Both methods are suitable when permitted by the garment's care label.

 

The Art of Cashmere Care

Washing

Hand wash gently in cool water, no warmer than 30°C, using a detergent specifically formulated for cashmere or wool. Avoid excessive rubbing, twisting, or wringing.

After washing, gently remove excess moisture with a towel, reshape the garment, and lay it flat to dry.

 

Steaming

Cashmere benefits from gentle steaming. Use light, quick movements, avoiding prolonged exposure to steam in any one area.

Excessive heat and moisture may cause the fibres to stretch and alter the garment's shape.

After steaming, lay the garment flat and allow it to dry completely.

 

Storage

Store cashmere garments neatly folded on a shelf.

We do not recommend leaving them on hangers for extended periods, as the weight of the fabric may cause stretching.

Before long-term storage, ensure the garment is clean and completely dry.
